The project is located in the Alpine municipality of Breil-sur-Roya, situated along the Colle di Tenda road, in a valley connecting France to Italy. The main objective of the project is the creation of a sustainable holiday village integrated in the local natural environment consisting of a large green area characterised by the presence of centuries-old olive trees.
The ten planned wooden cottages are designed according to criteria of bio-architecture and environmental sustainability, made of natural and local materials, favouring wood from responsibly managed forests. The different sizes of the houses make it possible to meet different needs according to the desired capacity.
The cottages are laid out in such a way as to respect the natural contours of the land and preserve the existing olive groves. The use of wood and natural colours allows for a perfect integration into the landscape, minimising the visual impact and enhancing the olive trees as an integral part of the project, creating shady spaces and pleasant pedestrian paths between the different housing units. Each house, equipped with large indoor spaces and outdoor terraces, is intended to recreate an ideal continuity between the living spaces and the surrounding nature.
