The intervention area is presented as a large flat space of trapezoidal shape located along Aurelia Street. The recovery project of the area starts from the assumption of redeveloping the intervention area through the demolition of the existing degraded buildings and the insertion of a new commercial building, according to a quality formal proposal that contributes to the enhancement of a strategically relevant area in the territory of the Municipality of Loano.
The new volume is the composition of two parallelepipeds of different sizes and heights that go to form a building with an articulated shape, which differs in the use of materials according to functional needs; in fact, the commercial part is characterized on the front by a large continuous linear glass window that lightens the main elevation, while the warehouse volume is blind, apart from the large openings at the back for the supply of goods. The south and west sides are lapped by a canopy with a screen to form a façade backdrop on which is a cable system for growing climbing plants and positioning lighting for the small plaza that is created in front of the building entrance. The flat roof is made with waterproofing membrane made of freshly solidified fiber cement in white color, above which the photovoltaic panels are located.
Surrounding the building is a sidewalk that widens into a large space with seating and lighting at the entrance bordered to the south and west by the metal curtain wall also raised to the elevation of the store with a green frame.
